Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line
This is the latest and the fastest way of transferring high
speed digital data down conventional copper telephone wires
(it's 40 times faster than a conventional line!)
It's ideally suited to Internet use as its download speed is
faster that its upload speed. This matches the normal use of
the World Wide Web i.e. more receiving than
sending. |
